Student Career Development
At Suncoast, our Youth Outreach team offers students career development opportunities, like internships for high school and college students. Suncoast also hosts field trips and job shadowing opportunities to teach students about how credit unions operate.
Student Career Development Opportunities
Suncoast Credit Union is proud to offer internship opportunities to high school and college students.
Academy of Finance (AOF) Internship Program
Our partnership with the Academy of Finance in Hillsborough County gives high school students an opportunity to receive professional development and work experience through our AOF Summer Internship Program. We partner with Armwood, Brandon, Chamberlain and Jefferson High Schools through this initiative.
Summer internships for AOF students typically run during the June-July months. When Academy of Finance internship positions are available, they are posted to our careers page.
Collegiate Internship Program
Suncoast Credit Union values education and talent. Our collegiate internship program provides college students with a chance to gain valuable work experience. We offer internships for a number of different departments, so students can focus on an area that supports their future career goals.
Our 10-week program is ideal for junior and senior students looking for an opportunity to learn about the financial industry. When collegiate internship positions are available, they are posted to our careers page.
Schedule a field trip for your organization
Ever wonder what the various offices of the credit union look like behind closed doors? Students can visit our corporate headquarters, local branches or our southern training center to learn all about the different areas that support the daily operations of Suncoast.
Schedule job shadowing for your organization
Our job shadowing program shows how specific roles help to support our credit union’s daily operations and overall mission. Students are paired with different departments, like accounting or marketing, to learn what a day in the life of that profession looks like.
Specific department availability varies throughout the year, and not all credit union departments are available for job shadowing.
