How We're Helping

We love the communities we serve, and it shows! Through both philanthropic and educational efforts, we pride ourselves on the ability to impact local families, schools and organizations.

Team Suncoast

Team Suncoast Employee VolunteersSuncoast approaches philanthropic efforts with one mission in mind — improve the lives of our members. Through our Team Suncoast employee volunteer program and Suncoast for Kids Foundation charitable donations, we do just that.

Some of the organizations supported by our volunteers include: Meals on Wheels, All Children's Hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Epilepsy Services of West Central Florida, Kids Charity of Tampa Bay, Kids Charity of Tampa Bay, Take Stock In Children Mentor Program, American Cancer Society, Children’s Cancer Center, Easter Seals Florida, Florida Blood Services, Metropolitan Ministries.

Tampa Area Credit Union for Kids Foundation

Suncoast joined forces with 16 local credit unions and pledged a $1.5 million dollar leadership gift over the next five years to the Center for Autism at All Children’s Hospital. The Center will provide services for children with autism and related disorders with the goal of helping each child reach his or her full potential and participate in school and community activities to the greatest extent possible.

Reading with the Rays Makes Summer Reading Super Fun!

DJ Kity and Reading with the Rays presented by Suncoast Credit UnionSuncoast Credit Union is proud to partner with the Tampa Bay Rays Reading with the Rays, a program that keep kids reading all summer long.

During the summer, kids can pick up their game card at their local library. Then they can check out some of their favorite books and start reading! The goal is 24 total hours of reading.

Students use a game card to track hours and collect prizes, with two tickets to a Rays game as the grand prize for students who read 24 hours during the program.

In 2016, we had more than 37,000 participants from nine of the counties we serve. That’s more than 150,000 total hours of reading in one summer! There were 7,690 Rays tickets redeemed.

We’re so proud of all of the participants and can’t wait to see how many readers we get in the summer of 2017!
