General Questions About SunMobile

Where can I learn about Suncoast’s new digital banking improvements, including the Pay a Person feature?

Does Suncoast use Zelle or any other digital payment format?

Suncoast Credit Union has its own digital payment capabilities through our Pay a Person feature. This allows our members to send money to anyone, no matter where they bank.

Can I open a checking or savings account using SunMobile?

Yes! Existing members can open a new checking or savings account using SunMobile in just a few minutes.

Log in, go to your accounts page, and click the “Open New Account” button. Follow the prompts and your new account will be ready in a few simple clicks.

Mobile Deposit

What is Mobile Deposit?

Mobile Deposit allows members to deposit funds to their savings, special savings, checking, or money market account remotely by taking a photo of their check(s) via their mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android and Android tablet).*

Why don’t I see Mobile Deposit in the app?

Eligibility requirements must be met to use this feature. If you don’t see Mobile Deposit in SunMobile and want to check your eligibility, you can send us a secure message through the app or call 800.999.5887.

Are there deposit limits?

Yes, the daily deposit limit is up to $2,500 for personal accounts and $25,000 for business accounts. Limits are subject to review and can change at any time.

What should I do with the check once it has been scanned?

You should securely store each original check(s) for a period of 90 days after you receive confirmation that your deposit has been accepted. Please note that you are solely responsible and liable for the security and storage of the original checks and for any loss or misappropriation of these checks.

If I have questions or encounter a problem, where can I receive help?

Mobile Deposit is designed as an easy-to-use, self-service product; however, should you encounter any problems or have questions on the process, please contact our Member Care Center at 1-800-999-5887.

Apple Pay

Which Suncoast Credit Union card will I be able to use with Apple Pay?

Suncoast cardholders are able to use their favorite Suncoast credit and debit cards with the exceptions of Business Credit Cards and HSA Debit cards.

Are my payments safe with Apple Pay? Is my privacy and personal information protected?

Yes, when using Apple Pay, your Suncoast card number isn’t stored on your phone or given to the merchant. A unique Digital Account Number is created specifically for that device. Additionally, you will be required to use either your fingerprint with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor or a secure passcode to complete a purchase. Apple Pay doesn’t store your credit or debit card number on your device; you never reveal your name, card number or security code to merchants.

Why am I being asked to call Suncoast to verify my card?

If your iTunes account address does not match the address we have on file for your card, you may be prompted to call us for verification as a final step before enrollment. Please call the number provided so we can verify your card, then look for a Passbook message letting you know that your card is ready for use with Apple Pay.

What happens when my card expires? When I receive my renewal card will I have to update Apple Pay with the new expiration date?

When a Suncoast card enrolled in Apple Pay expires, the new expiration date is automatically updated in Apple Pay for you. You’ll be able to use your card in Apple Pay to make transactions before receiving your new physical card.

If I sell or give my Apple device to someone else, what will happen to the information on my device?

When selling or giving away your iPhone 6 or any other new Apple product, you should make sure you delete all digital accounts in Apple Pay. You may also reset your phone to factory settings, which will also remove all digital accounts. If for any reason you have forgotten, contact Suncoast and we will be able to perform this action on your behalf.

Will the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation still earn two cents every time I use Apple Pay to make purchases?

Absolutely! Each time you make a purchase using your Suncoast debit or credit card with Apple Pay, two cents are donated to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to support local programs that benefit education and the health and emotional well-being of children and their families.
